Hello everyone. Thought i'd better update my blog so last night i sat and made these 2 cards. They are 7inches square, which is becoming my favourite size. The fancy boarder was cut using a Martha Stewart PATP and the gorgeous butterflies were cut for me by my friend linda D. (Must ask here to cut me some more.) The sentiment was a freebie by Jess from here. Really easy to make, but i think quite effective. TFL xx

Wishing on a star
This is Louis with his little brother Fray
So pleased to see that DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) getting air time on X Factor and raising awareness to millions of this awful disease, even though it is a bit too close to home. Please, please, buy the charity single, even if you wont listen to it. The proceeds will make a huge difference to boys like my grandson Louis who suffers this dreadful life limiting disease. xx

For my daughters birthday
Made this card for my daughter Hannah's birthday tomorrow. OMG she will be 29, i definately feel old now, lol. Anyway, this card is similar to my previous card but larger. The card measures 7 1/2 inches square. I used the PATP martha stewart punch again, I wanted to use 3 layers on this card, so after a bit of faffing around i eventually sussed out the measurements and am quite please with the result. The flowers were cut using my new Joy Craft daisie die which i love and a few pearls were added to finish. TFL x

PATP and Daisies
Made this really simple card using a Martha Stewart PATP combo set that my friend Linda D lent to me, i love the effect, it's so pretty. I cut the flowers with my new Joy craft daisie die set that arrived today, i can see that i am going to use this a lot. I used a nestie for the sentiment and a few pink pearls to finish. TFL xx

Perfect day
I got the idea for this card from "Milliemoo" a buddy of mine on Do- Crafts. I loved the sentiment and asked if i could use it on my card. I embossed a piece of white card with a roses embossing folder, then mounted that onto cream card. i then stuck this to a 6 inch card base. The sentiment was cut with a nestie. Flowers are from Wild orchids and a few punched leaves. TFL xx
You can see Ann's (Millimoo) card here.

My new toy
After seeing so many gorgeous cards with stitching on, I decided that I needed a small sewing machine as the one I used when I dabbled in dressmaking and soft furnishings is too heavy to lug about. I got this little 8 stitch one from Poundstretcher today for £19.99. Aint it cute, and best of all it's lilac, my favourite colour, so how could I resist. Off to do a few chores so I can have a play later. TFL xx

The card has been made using a lovely shaped card from Craftwork Cards, the backing paper is from Stampin-up, and the two very pretty butterflies i pinched from my sister and have no idea what die they have been cut from. The card has been finished off with some lovely pearls. I cased the layout for this card from Julie, you can see her gorgeous card here. TFL xx

Christmas card set
I,ve been at it again. I made another mini set of Christmas cards. I used that square Nellies frame again, and the winter scene embossing folder that i had to cut down to fit. There are 3 Gold and 3 Silver, although it doesn't show in the photo. Think i need to add a bit of glitter to the roof tops, but the glitter is on the missing list, lol TFL xx

And yet more mini cards
I'm getting addicted to these little sets of mini cards, they are so quick and easy to make. Mine are from Craftwork Cards but they are simple enough to cut and score yourself as you can get 3 from an A/4 sheet of card. For these i used a Nellies square frame die and a cuttlebug snowflake die. The gem in the centre was from the £ shop. Hope you like them, cos there are more to follow. lol TFL xx

"Less is more" Challenge card ( week 6 )
Over on the "Less is More" challenge this week, the criteria was a OLC being "off the edge". Crikey, Mandi and Chrissie definately made this a challenge for me. lol. Not having any rubber stamps, i decided to use a Pink Petticoat image. I turned the image slightly and changed the colour. I added a few tiny sparkly gems, so i hope this still counts as one layer. "Less is more" Challenge card ( week 4 )
This weeks challenge at "Less is more" is to use 3 squares. I must learn to read all the info properly 'cos the first card i made i used 4 squares, lol.
For this card i used a papermania rubber stamp and Stampin-up ink and cardstock. As a lot of you know, i am not a stamper, it took about 15 attempts to get these 3 little squares to look 'arf decent. I must practice more.
Thanks Chrissie and Mandi, i am loving these challenges and am already looking forward to the next one. . TFL x
(Sorry about the naff photo, I,m useless at that as well. lol)
